From the folks over at Blizzcon, looks like there are going to be some significant changes to the costume, talent, and art contests. They’ve announced that there will be some upcoming changes to the Blizzcon Community Night:

Attention all cosplayers, moviemakers, artists, and other creators throughout the Blizzard community!

Last year we made some pretty significant changes to how we conducted the costume, movie, art, and talent contests at BlizzCon. We also renamed the whole thing Community Night, a reflection of what—and who—we’re really celebrating on the big stage.

We got a lot of great feedback from last year’s show, and we intend to bring a lot of what worked best back for BlizzCon 2018—but we’re also in the process of identify how we can make the experience even better for the people participating and for everyone watching at the convention center or at home.

So consider this a “heads up!” that Community Night is going to continue to evolve. While we’re still in the process of determining what tweaks we want to make, if you’re itching to get started on a costume you can rest assured that we’re not going too crazy. We’ll report back as soon as we’re ready to tell you more.

Thanks as always for your passion and support, and for helping bring BlizzCon to life with your creativity. We’ll have more to share with you soon.

You can find this and more on their Community Night announcement page.
